Course Description
The Journeyman Pipe Fitter/Pipe Welder course is designed to produce graduates able to secure high wage, long term employment opportunities in the construction, pipline, and maintenance & repair industries. Our course provides in excess of 440 hours of instruction in the Shielded Metal Arc & Gas Tungsten Arc Welding processes. There are an additional 220 hours of classroom instruction in the following subject areas: rigging, construction safety, and pipe fitting. As a graduate of this course, you are able to find employment opportunites all over the world and in all 50 states.
The Montgomery G. I. Bill - National Pipe Trades is approved by the State of Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs State Approving Agency to offer benefits for the Journeyman Pipe Fitter / Pipe Welding course.

Journeyman Pipe Welder
Course Description
The Journeyman Pipe Welder Course is designed to give students pipe welding skills needed to secure employment as a Pipe Welder for employers seeking employees skilled in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (Tig) processes. The student will perform these skills in the 1G, 2G, 5G, and 6G Positions.
The Journeyman Pipe Welder is an open enrollment course that last 15 weeks. Hours will be 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Thursday. Evening Class is 28 Weeks. Hours to be determined - Monday - Thursday.
